To reach Super Saiyan, you must first be a Saiyan, or half Saiyan . Something must make you mad, and after that if you do it right you become Super Saiyan. In Super Saiyan, your much more powerful than the regular Saiyan form, your hair sticks up with a golden glow, and your speed, agility, and strength are all greatly increased. Ultra Super Saiyan(USSJ):
USSJ is a state between SSJ and SSJ2. In this state you are really pumped up, and very strong. Only problem is that you are so pumped up you lack speed. Who reaches this level? Goku, Vegeta, Brolly and Trunks
Super Saiyan 2(SSJ2):
SSJ2 is a more powerful form than SSJ, if you do it right, but still a LONG ways from SSJ3. When your in SSJ2 you can adjust your 3 powers (strength, agility, speed). Like if want a lot of speed, you just adjust it, but when you do your other two powers go down. Experienced fighters like Goku and Vegeta know how to balance the powers good to make them work. Who reaches this level?:

Super Saiyan 3(SSJ3):
SSJ3 is a very powerful level, and the last of what I consider a real SSJ level. When in this level, your face turns kinda evil looking, and you loose your eyebrows, and your hair grows down to about your knees. The power in this form is really great. Goku realised the power jump from SSJ2 to 3, so instead of even trying 2 he immeiatly goes from SSJ to SSJ3. Goku got tired in his SSJ3 form when fighting Buu, so he asked Vegeta to take over while he rested and gained his power back. Instead of gaining his power back, he lost it all and went back to a normal Saiyan. Who reaches this level?:Goku and Gotenks
Interesting Facts: SSJ: Goku is the first to reach this level on Namek. SSJ2: Gohan is the first to reach this level when Cell smashes A-16s head. SSJ3: Goku is the first to reach this level. Gotenks is the first fused character to reach this level.
Super Saiyan 4(SSJ4):
SSJ4 is a VERY powerful level. When Goku's in this form he can do the 10x Kame Hame Ha. Goku first reaches this level when he sees Pan crying while he is in Golden Oozaru form.
Interesting Facts: Oozaru: When in this stage, your power is 10 times your normal power. Like say your power level is 18,000, and then you go Oozaru, your power level will grow to 180,000. If your tail gets chopped of while in this form you will revert back to a normal Saiyan. Golden Oozaru: Goku is the first to reach this level. Super Saiyan 4: Goku is the first to reach this level.
Oozaru Levels
Oozaru: When a Saiyan looks at a full moon, they turn into Oozaru. There very big monkeys, and some experienced Saiyans, like Nappa and Vegeta are able to control themselves when in this level. Who reaches this level?: Vegeta, Gohan, Nappa, Goku, and many other Saiyans.
Golden Oozaru:
This stage got reached when Baby and Goku were fighting on Planet Plant in DBGT and they looked that the "Full" Earth. I dont know if this is more powerful than regular Oozaru, but I would assume so, otherwise whats the point of going to a new level? Golden Oozaru kinda looks like a SSJ Oozaru.
